Events in the future on and around Guernsey

Guernsey is steeped in history but it gained its independence in 1481. Ongoing excavation has revealed artefacts that may be up to 6000 years old, so a visit to our museum, Castle Cornet or some of the occupation sites would not go amiss.

On the Visit Guernsey website you will find a list of the events that take place in the Island at various times of the year. This can include the Hill Climb, Guernsey Horse of the Year Show, Horse Racing, Food and Wine festivals, accompanied walks and a number of sea activities.

Whilst visiting the Island why not visit one of the other Channel Islands. Herm is our closest with Sark near by, both accessible by a short boat trip. Alderney is accessible by plane and Jersey accessible by ferry or plane. There is also a ferry sailing to St Malo in France.
